This painting is part of a collection of works titled "Into the Light." The series is a reflection of my journey after my oldest sister died of pancreatic cancer. The woman in the painting is partially obscured by leaves and shadows but her features emerge as they are touched by light.

The custom maple frame is handmade (by my spouse) and waxed for protection. The wax provides a beautiful matte finish.
