You don’t quite understand the obsession with sourdough until you begin baking it. As a kid I hated sourdough, but as an adult, the tangy, chewy bread is an addiction I can’t shake. Inspired by Antoine Vollon’s Mound of Butter these little bread paintings were a quick project between larger projects. These little studies were a joy to paint to start my 2025.
