Statement
As a Florida-based artist, I am motivated by a reverence for the natural world. I draw inspiration for my vibrant artwork from my outdoor adventures.
As a young girl, I spent almost every waking hour outside through every season. I particularly remember summer days spent running barefoot through my yard. As I grew older, I began traveling farther afield and wandering into breathtaking landscapes. These early experiences instilled a sense of responsibility to protect and preserve the environment, a theme that permeates my work.
Much of my artwork also explores the relationship between people and their natural surroundings. Nature can have a profound impact on our emotional well-being. Time spent in nature has personally been a source of healing. I strive to help others understand the sense of solace and rejuvenation that nature provides as we venture outside.
I also seek to inspire others to appreciate and protect the environment to help preserve it. For me, creating is about the experience and the journey. My artwork is about hope, vulnerability, and the healing power of nature.
