Meet the Artist

Florida-based artist Becky Coleman loves telling stories through her vibrant, mixed-media paintings. She graduated with a BA in 2008 and obtained her MA in special education in 2017. After teaching for eight years, Becky quit teaching full-time and moved from Chicago to Sarasota, FL, in order to pursue making art. She draws inspiration from her outdoor adventures and uses landscape as a powerful story-telling tool. Creating artwork for her is about the experience and the journey. Her pieces seek to engage viewers in reflection and ultimately find empathy and connection to the environment.
